Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Journeyblog (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit journeyblog.com, subscribe to our newsletter, or listen to our podcast.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you provide — your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, your name and message when you use the contact form, and any information you share when partnering with us.
- Automatically collected information — pages visited, time on site, approximate location (country/city from IP), device type, and referring URL. This is collected via Microsoft Clarity and standard server logs.
- Cookies — see our Cookies Policy for full details.
2. How we use your information
- To send you travel content and newsletter issues you opted into
- To respond to your inquiries and partnership requests
- To understand which content performs well and improve the site
- To protect against abuse, spam, and fraud
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with service providers who help us operate:
- SendGrid (email delivery)
- Microsoft Clarity (anonymised analytics)
- Hosting and infrastructure providers
These providers are contractually required to protect your data and only use it to deliver the service we've engaged them for.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your information
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter (one-click link in every email)
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
To exercise any of these, email us at privacy@journeyblog.com.
5. Data retention
We keep newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are kept for up to 24 months. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form only.
6. Children
Journeyblog is intended for adult travelers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in the newsletter.
